The Valir Altus clinic opened in August 2004. Our services include specialized orthopedic rehabilitation of shoulders and knees, sports medicine with sport-specific rehabilitation, pre- and postoperative rehab, spine rehab, therapeutic massage, work conditioning, patient education and much more.
Patients and clinicians work together to establish goals that are challenging yet achievable, maximizing outcomes. We develop individualized home exercise programs for our patients to promote healing and recovery and to prevent future injuries. We participate in most available insurance plans.

Dustin Burrow, PT, graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2000, where he received his bachelor’s degree in physical therapy. He began his career at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in both inpatient and outpatient rehab settings, which allowed him to work with patients with a variety of diagnoses. He was most interested in outpatient orthopedics. In conjunction with Valir Health, he established an outpatient orthopedic physical therapy clinic to better serve the Altus community. Natives of Altus, Dustin and his wife enjoy spending time with their two sons.
Kurt Craddock, PTA, originally from Hollis, OK, graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 2003 with his associate’s degree in applied sciences after completing his physical therapist assistant training at Caddo-Kiowa Area Vocational Technical School.
To be close to his friends and family, Kurt began his career at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus, where he worked with a variety of patients, young and old, inpatient and outpatient. He continued working there until he joined Valir Physical Therapy in April 2005.
James Patterson, PT, DPT, graduated from Langston University in 2008, where he received his doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. James graduated with a strong desire to work with patients from rural and underserved populations addressing minority health and minority health disparities. Being a native of Altus, OK, he was excited to have the opportunity to join Valir Physical Therapy and serve the Altus and surrounding communities. James enjoys spending time with his wife and son, and volunteering with the Altus youth recreation league.
Whitney Christian, PTA, originally from Granite, Oklahoma, joined the team of therapists at Valir Physical Therapy Altus in April 2011. She attended school at Western Oklahoma State College until December 2004 when she obtained her Associate’s Degree in Science. She then went on to Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, OK to obtain her Bachelor’s Degree in Science, majoring in health science in December 2006.
She decided to pursue PTA school and was awarded her Associates Degree in Applied Science, PTA degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University at Sayre in May 2008. She received her PTA license in August of 2008.
Whitney worked at Sayre Memorial Hospital and Carter Home Health before coming to Valir. Having performed therapy services in a variety of settings has been a benefit to Whitney’s patients and to Valir. She loves working as a therapist because she feels she can make a positive contribution to enhancing a patient’s quality of life.
