Valir Physical Therapy of Norman opened in July 2002. Our services include orthopedic and sports rehabilitation along with aquatic therapy, pre- and post-operative rehabilitation, spinal rehabilitation, work screen services, work conditioning, and onsite athletic training coverage. In addition, we provide onsite sports medicine athletic training coverage and are the only national Sportsmetrics certified facility for ACL prevention in Norman.

We participate in most available insurance plans and offer aquatic therapy through our partnership with the Cleveland County YMCA.

We pride ourselves in providing top-quality rehabilitative care while practicing good ethics and values. We are in the business to serve people, and that is our focus.

Staff Bio

Maryella Taylor

Maryella Taylor, PT, DPT, a Dallas native that relocated to Oklahoma almost 10 years ago, graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelors of Science degree in Health Studies in 2010. Maryella graduated from the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center in 2012 as a Doctor of Physical Therapy.

Upon graduation, Maryella began working for Valir outpatient physical therapy where she developed a passion for sports and orthopedic physical therapy. Maryella’s enjoys working with patients with shoulder dysfunction, postoperative knee and hip diagnoses, and the management of SI dysfunction. Maryella is an active member in both the Oklahoma Physical Therapy Association, as well as the American Physical Therapy Association.

When not at the clinic, Maryella is an avid runner and enjoys spending time in front of a fire pit with her husband and two labs.
