Valir Physical Therapy—Shawnee has been serving the community since 2000. Shawnee has a 5,000 square foot facility with an open gym area, as well as private rooms if needed. Our objective is and always has been to provide an expert level of physical therapy services to all those we serve in Shawnee and the greater Pottawatomie County area. The staff also strives to provide patient education and therapies that will help patients achieve their maximum level of function in a friendly, professional, encouraging environment.
In 2012, Valir Physical Therapy was voted as the Oklahoman Readers’ Choice for Best Physical Therapy Company. The Shawnee staff received the coveted 2008 Clinic of the Year Award for their tireless commitment to patients and healing.
Licensed physical therapists develop individualized programs for patients to promote healing and recovery, to return to prior level of function, and to prevent future injuries. Patients and therapists work together with open communication to establish goals that are challenging yet achievable to help guide the rehabilitation and to maximize outcomes. Treatment programs and progression of exercises are based on each patient’s needs and abilities. For continuity of care, every patient is seen by their dedicated physical therapist during each visit. Manual physical therapy plays an important role in a patient’s recovery and is routinely provided with each treatment session.
Valir participates in most available insurance plans, and we invite you to stop by any time. If you are experiencing pain or dysfunction, please discuss these symptoms with your doctor and request a prescription to Valir Physical Therapy in Shawnee.
