Valir Physical Therapy in Purcell opened its doors to the McClain County community in October 2008. Our objective is and always has been to provide an expert level of physical therapy services to all we serve in Purcell and the greater area. We also strive to provide patient education and therapies that will help patients achieve their maximum level of function in a friendly, professional, encouraging environment.

Our services include specialized orthopedic rehabilitation of shoulders and knees, sports medicine with sport-specific rehabilitation, pre- and postoperative rehab, spine rehabilitation, balance dysfunction, work conditioning, patient education for a better work environment, aquatic therapy and much more.

Patient and therapists work together to establish goals that are challenging yet achievable to maximize outcomes. We develop individualized home exercise programs for patients to promote healing and recovery and to prevent future injuries.

Staff Bios

taylor-marcum-yukonManager, Taylor Marcum, PT, DPT is a graduate of Oklahoma State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and was a member of the Cowgirl Softball team. She received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Langston University in 2015, and began her career at Valir that summer. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and her areas of interest include orthopedics and post-operative rehabilitation.

Taylor currently lives in Edmond and enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs. She also enjoys reading, cooking, yoga, and working on her home.



Dori Bynum, PTA, from Wayne, Oklahoma joined the Purcell Valir team in January of 2015. She attended school at Oklahoma City Community College in Oklahoma City until 1993 where she obtained her Associates Degree in Applied Science with her Physical Therapy Assistant Degree. She received her license in May of 1993.

Dori has worked in and around the Purcell area for years. She worked at the Purcell Municipal Hospital with inpatients and outpatients, Loving Care Home Health, and Encompass Home Health before coming to Valir. She loves working as a therapist because she loves to interact with people, contributing in a positive way and enhancing the patient’s quality of life. She enjoys working and serving in her hometown community.  

Dori is married and has two boys. She enjoys going to her son’s football games, reading, being a sponsor at Falls Creek in the summer and other church activities.
