A New Chapter for Valir PACE in Shawnee

Recently, Valir PACE Shawnee welcomed community leaders, partners, and supporters for a Grand Opening Celebration at our new Shawnee center. The event marked an exciting milestone as Valir PACE Shawnee officially became the fourth PACE program in Oklahoma.

With the opening of the Shawnee location, Valir Health now operates three PACE organizations, including Valir PACE Oklahoma City, Cherry Blossom PACE in Northern Virginia, and Valir PACE Shawnee. This expansion reflects our continued commitment to bringing comprehensive, community-based care to more older adults and families.

We were honored to have several local and state leaders join us for the celebration, including Dirk O’Hara, Partner and Board Member; Rosalyn Karl, Oklahoma Health Care Authority PACE Manager; Eric Stephens, Mayor of Shawnee; and State Representative Dell Kerbs. Their remarks highlighted the importance of expanding access to high-quality care that allows seniors to remain safely at home while staying connected to their community.

Guests enjoyed guided tours of the new center and learned more about the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), a model that brings medical care, therapy, transportation, nutrition, social services, and daily activities together in one coordinated program. Our goal is simple: to support independence, health, and quality of life for the seniors we serve.

We are grateful for the warm welcome from the Shawnee community and thankful to everyone who joined us to celebrate this important moment. Valir PACE Shawnee is now open and accepting eligible seniors, and we are excited to begin serving individuals and families throughout Pottawatomie County and the surrounding areas.
